The Aliens are coming!

Jamie and I have been busy at school, our topic is "To infinity and beyond". The kids have loved getting into their role play spaceship, making a moon surface from modroc, baking star biscuits and making aliens.
Aliens with the planets.

Jamie made some claws and pretended to be a monster, but in my opinion he is far too cute to be scary!!
Not so scary monster!

Jamie felt like being creative. He made his dinosaur (with a little help from Mummy! It had to be slotted together and the instructions were not the best!) which he got from Father Christmas when he came to visit school, he then decided to paint him (multi-coloured dinosaurs were all the rage years ago!!) He then wanted to mix colours, which he always wants to, he just loves the feel of the paint squishing through his fingers.

There seems to be a pattern occuring when he is being creative, he either is in his pants or pyjamas!! Not sure what that means?!

Jamie and I had a game of mini table tennis. He did win, but I'm sure there was a little bit of cheating when he was keeping the score!
Super Jamie! He gets his fit body from his Daddy!!

Most nights this week we have read Jamie the book called "honey biscuits" and as you have probably gathered from the title it is a story about a boy cooking honey biscuits and it explains where all the ingredients come from and at the end there is the recipe for the biscuits and Jamie asked Daddy if he could make them. So Daddy was up for the challenge and they had a baking session. I kept out the kitchen and it was lovely to hear them having fun together baking. They were so delicious (I did mean the biscuits that I tasted, and not Jamie and Daddy, although they are both delicious too!) one of the best biscuits I have tasted.
The book.

Time flies when your having fun!

I can't believe where the days have gone, they are just whizzing by! Everything is good in the Regan household, I have been busy working at school and having lots of fun at home with my family.

Jamie and I were driving home from school today and he suddenly said "I wish I could marry you!" I said "I would love to marry you too, but there is one problem I am married to Daddy and can't be married to anyone else." It is when he says things like that it just melts my heart and I feel so much love for him!

How do I look? Jamie was going through his toy boxes and found a pink hair grip which is out of a cracker and he put it in his hair! Very fetching I think! He is showing off his Woody that Daddy made for him.

Saturday was baking day! Guess what I made! Yes, something with chocolate, I made chocolate chip cakes and Jamie was chief taster of the cake mixture! He did approve!!

I have been thinking about getting a slow cooker for a while now, then what a lovely surprise, my husband came home with the above, he was rewarded with a scrummy, warming beef casserole (I'm sure that was the reward he was expecting!!)

Parsnip and thyme bread from the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall recipe book, it tastes delicious, it is a mixture of savoury and sweet, Yum, Yum!

Butternut squash and chickpea curry from the Green Parent magazine, this was also delicious, next week I'm going to try some recipes from the Nigella Lawson cookbook I got for Christmas. Domestic Goddess eat your heart out!!

Sunday Jamie wanted to be a Vampire, he got Daddy to face paint his face, this picture was taken later in the day so a lot of it had worn off. Here he is on his new swing he got for Christmas. He loves it, he likes to go very high, which makes Daddy very scared! He likes Daddy to twist the swing and then let go so he twists round and round. He also went on the trampoline after, he said he was tired when he went to bed!

One of the things I love, is watching Jamie and Kevin playing in the garden. Kevin really is a brilliant Daddy and I am so blessed to have them in my life, I feel so lucky, I love my life!

It's a beautiful day!

The sun was shining today.  Kev, Jamie and I decided to go for a walk (well, Jamie did after we said it would include a visit to the park!). We went to Brightwell as this is one of my favourite places, it brings back many happy memories of being with Nan (a very, very special lady!!)

Wrapped up and ready to go on our walk.

Jamie with his walking stick, he looks so cute!

Walking along the stream, oh happy days!

Going through the undergrowth. My little nature detective.

Daddy leading the way, he is the best Daddy!

Who is trip trapping over my bridge?!

As promised we ended up at the park.

One very happy little boy.

Jamie loves this swing, he likes to be pushed for ages!

Two very handsome fellas!

Look at the two peas in a pod watching Star Wars in Jamie's games room!

Just like his Father!

Jamie likes to copy Daddy when he is having a shave, so we brought him his own special shaving set. Like Father, like Son xxxx

Kevin was playing a board game that his uncle, aunty and cousins had brought him for christmas, there are cards that tell you to act like someone. Kevin read Jamie's card "Be a Pianist" Jamie said "What's a penis?! Classic! Kev tried to keep a straight face and said, "it's a pianist".

Christmas holidays

My wonderful husband and our little boy! What more could I ask for!!

Tom (Dad) and Diane (Mum) came to stay over the Christmas holidays, it was lovely to see them and to all get together. Sorry Mum, we did not get a picture of you!!

Kev's Nan (91 years young!) She is amazing!!

It's Christmas!!

Christmas has been and gone, but it is a lovely memory. It was one of my best Christmas's ever!! Everybody enjoyed themselves and a good time was had by all!
