Play dates and bedtime

Jamie had his best friend round to play today. He is Randaya and they have such a beautiful friendship. They had fun racing on Mario Kart Wii. They then had some tea and played motorbikes and dinosaurs together.

Daddy had a long day at work, Jamie was willing him to come home as he wanted his Wii partner to play with! It was Daddy's turn to read to tonight.

My wonderful, special son is growing up!

We were driving home from school today and Jamie said out of the blue "I love you", he said it with such feeling it made my heart melt!

When we got home the phone rang and someone asked to speak to Jamie, it was his best friend Randaya, they had such a good little chat, it was lovely listening to him having a conversation with him, they talked about what they were doing and about their toys, it was his first proper phone call for him personally, my boy is growing up!

Decorating the Christmas Tree

The Regan's yearly trip to Millets Farm to get our christmas tree took place this morning. you cannot beat a real tree.  One of my favourite things about Christmas is decorating the tree, and I am sorry to Jamie, but it is my job to do this, nobody is allowed to touch it!! I made a lot of my own decorations this year and they adorn the tree very proudly. Jamie likes to keep tasting the chocolates and candy canes from the tree and Lanie (our beautiful cat, that my lovely Husband  brought me for my birthday) is eyeing the tree up and likes playing with the baubles. I wonder how long it will be all in one piece!

Kevin and I joke that this is Jamie's Shrine! We do worship him!

The Advent calendar I made, I put it up yesterday and Jamie said it is not an advent because it has no chocolates in it! So I popped to the shops and brought some chocs to put in it, Lanie keeps climbing up it and getting the chocolates out!



Busy, Busy, Busy!!

The children were practising their school play again today. Dress rehearsal tomorrow. It has been a beautiful frosty day today, the trees looked amazing, all white and sparkling!

Just sat down to cut out 29 Christmas tree templates ready for the kids to make cards at school.

Well, must go lots of drawing and cutting to do!

We three kings!

Jamie was practising for his school play with his friends at school today. The photographer from the Oxford mail came to take pictures of them all in their costumes, the final picture they decided to publish was the one of Jamie, Randaya and Josh in the Kings costumes. I shall be checking the paper each day and can't wait to see their pictures and to show it off!  I sneakily took a photo myself of the kings, which although I say it myself, look very dashing!

Sunday Morning

Jamie is on the wii playing Mario Kart and Daddy is giving him tips on how to play!

Today I am going to make some dishes in preparation for the Regan Family visit on the 27th Dec. We are having Diane and Tom, Paul, Karmjit, Jairaj and Jasmine to visit, it will be great to see them all and we will be swapping presents.
