It is nearly time!

Christmas Eve ..... it is lovely sat here with Jamie and Kevin. It is nice to be altogether and knowing it is now holiday time. Jamie is finally getting over his illness and is more like his normal self and not sleeping all the time!

Everything is ready for tomorrow. Can't wait to have all the family together. I am going to have a break from the internet for a few days so Merry Christmas to everyone and hope you have a lovely time and all your wishes come true xxxxxxxxxxx

Because Jamie was poorly and sleeping a lot I was able to do lots of baking and making!

Fruity crumble squares!

My Christmas wishing branch! I picked a branch from the garden and decorated it and have left stars for people to write their wishes and add them to the branch.

Christmas biscuits.

Jamie sleeping again! I know I have taken lots of pictures of him sleeping but I can't help it, he looks so angelic!

We took Christmas biscuits and reindeer food to Jamie's friends.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! XX

3 more sleeps to go!

I am getting very excited that Christmas day is nearly upon us. Poor Jamie is still not well. It is nearly a week now, I just want him to feel well again, we have had some lovely times though snuggled on the sofa, napping and have puzzle and board game days. Today we are going to make some food to leave out for the reindeer christmas eve, so they know where to come!

Another puzzle completed!

Jamie took this picture of our lovely Lanie!

Jamie took a picture of Douglas, Tiger and Puppy!

Playing with "Moon sand"

Poor Jamie, it all was just too much, he turned the heater on under the oven and fell asleep warming himself!

Jamie sleeping again! Due to being poorly he has had frequent naps!

Baby it's cold outside!

Another snowy day, it is so beautiful everywhere. I love the snow because it makes you slow down and appreciate everything you have.

Jamie is a bit better today, but not 100%. He is worse in the mornings and evenings.

I went for a lovely walk with Mum and Jim. It was amazing seeing all the snow and walking through the snow.

We met up with Kevin and Jamie coming back, Kevin had pulled Jamie on his sledge, well run most of the way because Jamie liked to go fast!

They then went off to find a hill for him to sledge down, while I went back for a slice of cake and cup of tea with Mum and Jim!

Back home, warm and cosy! After I had read Jamie his bedtime stories and we were cuddling he said "your special to me and I love everything about you". Ahhh, what a lovely thing to say. I am so blessed to have him!!

Recipe for Jamie's little bird cakes

Ingredients:
1 oz geletine
3 cups bird seed
Boiling water
Cutters
String

Put the geletine into a bowl and add a cup of boiling water, stir until dissolved.

Add the birdseed and mix altogether.

Spoon the mixture into the cutter shapes (we used Christmas shape cutters as it is the festive season!). Cut the string to make hanging loops, knot the two ends together and put into the seed cakes. Cover each knot with a little more bird seed mixture.

Leave to set.

When set, push your shapes out of the cutters and hang around your garden to let the birds have a feast!

Let it snow!

I awoke this morning and there was a dusting of snow, it looked so beautiful. Then the snow started falling and we had lots of snow!

Of all the days, Kevin decided he would dig the holes for Jamies swing to be cemented in. That is what I call a good father, he loves his son soooo much.

Daddy measuring out where he is going to dig for the posts of the swing to be cemented in.

Jamie is still a poorly pup, it was a shame because he did not want to go out in the snow first thing. He has been knocked for six and feels weak and unwell.

Even when your poorly one still needs chocolate, purely medicinal of course!

I made some "Darling Bird cakes" this morning, Jamie thought I was making him cakes and was not amused, so I said we could make chocolate cakes especially for him.

Chief taster!

I brought Jamie a new game for us to play: "What's Rubbish" it teaches him about recycling. We decided to play it as he still. did not want to go out and play in the snow. It is a really good game and we had great fun. Jamie won!

Wonderful Daddy was making something else for his son, a sledge, I wonder if this will get Jamie to go out in the snow?

Well the sledge did the trick, Jamie delivered Christmas cards on the sledge and we all played snowball fights!!

Poorly Pup!

Jamie made me giggle yesterday, we were having a shower together and he started singing one of the carols we have been practising in school for the carol service Friday. He sang "Park the Herald Angels sing". I did not have the heart to tell him it is "Hark"!

Poor Jamie is not very well today. He was sick last night and is under the weather today. It was a shame because it was the last day of school, but he was just too poorly to go. We snuggled up on the sofa together and watched Wibbly Pig. It was lovely just taking time out to cuddle up on the sofa and do nothing, I have really enjoyed spending the time with him today, it reminded me of when he was a baby and would snuggle up with me.

Poorly pup resting on the sofa

There was a frost this morning  and we had a little snow although it did not come to anything. The bird bath was frozen, so the poor birds could not have a bath today! Jamie and I are going to make some bird cakes as a treat for them tomorrow.

No baths for the birds today!

Lanie looking outside and thinking "It's too cold for me!"

Lanie making herself comfortable in the washing basket.

It was all just too much, he could fight it no longer and fell asleep.
