Planting has begun!

Jim, Mum and I popped up the allotment and began planting some vegetables. We have planted garlic, red onions, and shallots in the plot Jim dug. It is a wonderful planting your own vegetables!

In the second plot we have half covered it with black plastic sheeting to help keep the weeds at bay
from the area we have dug. In the uncovered half we have planted peas and broad beans that are protected by cloches, the remainder of  the red onions and shallots we had left over have been put in.

Mum kindly cleared the coal bunker that was hidden under ivy and nettles, beside the shed. She also pruned the lavender bush right back as it was really woody.

We have covered an area in black plastic to see if it kills the grass before we dig it.

We had a visitor! Mr Robin Redbreast, he wasn't scared of us at all! He kept popping up and keeping us company. I hope he is a regular visitor to our plot.

I also put up some bunting and heart decorations to give the shed a little feminine touch! I love my "she shed"!

We inherited this little fellow, he makes me chuckle every time I see him. He is guarding the shed!
